Biked in from Easter Balmoral. Noticed police presence at at start of track and later a police Landrover touring around - Queen visiting. Stopped roughly opposite Creag non Gall, left bike to go up and down to its summit. back to bike and along track to branch to bothy where left bike due to strong headwind. continued on foot and along north side of Cnap a' Choire Bhuidhe to find an easy way up invery windy conditions. Back by same route with lunch stop om shelter at last track fork.dickscroop26/05/2022
6 tops from easter balmoral, craig gowan, canup, ripe hill, creag nan gall south top, creag nan gall, creag an lurachain.robertphillips02/07/2021
From the secret parking place at Easter Balmoral, through Dubh-Chlais and the Glen Gelder track. Easy to head to the ridge at the edge of the forest, then a narrow path cuts through long heather over to the NE ridge where granite pavements make easier going to get onto the hill. Animal tracks make reasonable going on the N side of the summit horseshoe. Hard neve just below the summit, just feasible in mud claws. Muirburn fires near the top of the ridge heading towards the South Top blocked a visit (smoke, approaching flames) so back along the S side of the summit horseshoe. I still got kippered. Returned via Prince Albert's cairn to stay out of the smoke in the valley.Gill05/03/2021
