Directly up from bridge at Ballater then, from edge of forest following first fence (electric but switched off) and then track to summit of Pannanich Hill. The cross country to knockie Branar and back to Ballater. | dickscroop | 24/05/2022 |

6 tops from ballater, pannanich hill, knockie branar, cairn leuchan, creag dearg, fasheilach, auchnacraig hill, down to near linn of muick cottage for a good downhill bike run back to ballater. | robertphillips | 04/07/2021 |
Out and back from Half Way Hut. Used bike on tracks from glen, then heather bashing to discover argo track up to summit. Saw a track all the way from summit to join previous track at NO 4181 9283 - which can be seen on aerial map views. | Eddie | 28/06/2021 |
Foot-high boundary stone at fence junction. 5th of 9 from Glen Tanar Lodge, then SE for bridge to Black Craig. A couple at bridge debating whether time for Mt Keen on this short Dec day; 1130 already... | RHW | 25/12/2018 |

A good landrover track for the convenience of the grouse shooters, then a rickety bridge to cross then pathless heather to the top. I came across the skeleton of a shieling, it would have been well sheltered by a slight rise but close enough to water & probably high enough to avoid flooding. Picked up a couple old iron fence posts for a new garden feature, some discarded deer antlers (Kasi chews) & watched a thunder & 1 flash of lightning all around me. So far 3 summits & still dry. | LizzieG | 24/06/2016 |
