Round of Arnbarrow Hill, Whitelaws, Hound Hillock and Garrel Hill from Arnbarrow. Not a comfortable hill, ground off track is uneven and there are hags around the summit.Topographer5719/02/2024

Parked in a layby at the Cairn o'Mount 455 high point. Followed the short piece of track, then intermittent animal tracks (shredded scarecrow is still there!) to the summit. On to Hound Hillock.LizH23/11/2021
From Clatterin' Brig. HH - W - A. Hill fog and rain but not much wind. Trig then top. SE side of fence. Zigzag round and through the peat hags.chrisbien28/10/2021
Bike from Clatterin Brig as far as locked gate at 630789 then Hound Hillock before Whitelaws.NormanW03/08/2021
A sunny Sunday in January with L who once trussed up in boots, gaiters, over-trousers, gloves, hat, many layers and windproof jackets commented that she felt like we were preparing for a moon landing rather than a walk - but proved ideal for lurching through the semi-frozen bogs and numbing SW breeze into our faces on the initial windswept plod. - Passed the shredded scarecrow which is still standing in the oddest of locations -on one of the identical thousands of peat hags. Part of a 10k 3 hour morning circuit over- from the windswept Cairn o' Mount road top.Chris Pearson12/01/2020
No path, just bogs, tussocks and heather with no marking of actual summitAl_N12/08/2019

Some deep peat hags on the way from Hound Hillock. South of fence slightly better.alda26/01/2018
The good track at the Cairn o'Mount soon disappears and the summit becomes a hard slog through tussocks.JohnW31/07/2017
From Viewpoint car park near top of Cairn o' Mount. Solo. Went up to top of Cairn o' Mount where there is a large cairn. Went WSW a little S of fence finding bits a path (or deer track?). Nothing to mark the highest point of Whitehills. Continued to Hound Hillock and Meluncart.pwbellarby18/07/2017
Look out for the shredded scarecrow half way up from Cairn o' Mount. Freaky in the mist!summitter16/06/2017
