A circuit from the tranquil lochan or reservoir west of Auchnacree. A track at the western end of the lochan leads through a series of open gates to the gentle slope west of the summit rock, from where the views are excellent. I returned north-east, turning onto the track along lochan braes and crossing the small dam at the eastern end of the lochan from which I started. | Nick Down1 | 23/02/2024 |
From Auchnacree to north parking next to wall before gates to the huge house. Down and track up the hill. Unmarked track continues close to summit. | N.Morters | 22/04/2023 |

Parked at an 'inshot' at NO45994 63465. Straight into the woods there and steeply down hill to meet a track at the bottom. Followed track round to a little burn, then across and up steeply by a wall/fence, easily stepped over at a fence juntion. Up track then animal tracks to the summit. | LizH | 11/10/2020 |
From just south of Auchnacree, dirt then grass tracks up to 290m then open grassy summit. This is game country, hiking not encouraged. First Hump of the year. | Topographer57 | 19/07/2020 |

A pleasant walk from Auchnacree, apart from the pheasant dodging and the barbaric weasel traps. | summitter | 23/09/2017 |
