Simple 2.8 mile up-and-down from the main car park. Amazing views on this perfectly clear and sunny day but windy. All the mountains were out of the cloud. Only a few people about as it was still fairly early in the morning. 380m ascent. Afterwards we headed back into England but bagged Thack Moor and Watch Hill in the North Pennines on our way home.DanTrig21/04/2023

A few weeks previously when planning something we had our sights on The Cobbler, but not full winter conditions. Given the conditions underfoot and strong Easterly winds we changed to something lower and shorter. Absolutely fantastic views over Lomond and the surrounding mountains though. Light snow, 2°C, Feels like -1°C, Wind 25mph from E, visibility 3mi or better out of snow.higlett18/12/2022

From car park. Charges are up to 3:20 for whole day, or one hour for free and free after 5:30. Actual top is further back and not nearly as busy as the popular viewpoint.colazione06/05/2022
2 of 2 starting in the main car park with Gooch. Nice hill this reminded me of chrome hill (the dragons back) in derbyshire. . Marilyn no. 59The-Z-Man16/04/2022
An early start to avoid the hordes... or so I thought. Many in the car park at 7.40 and even more on the return at 9.25. Great views from the far summit.Solo.bolton19/03/2022

A circuit from the upper CP in Balmaha, via the Squirrel Trail, the steeply through woods to Creag an Eoin, descending the equally steep path SE to join the WHW up Conic Hill (I suspect better to carefully descend W and join the Druim nam Buraich path, especially given the difficulty of keeping a safe distance from people during the pandemic). Instead, I took the ridge path, traversing below the crowded S Top, to the summit, returning to the S Top when it was quiet and returning along the Druim nam Buraich as the sun set over Loch Lomond.Nick Down105/12/2021
With Ali, at dusk, ascended via main path from Balmaha, amazing sunset and then descended via ridge near Arrochymore, returning to Balmaha by lochside path.paddyirish20/11/2021
Packed with hundreds of international folk having a day off from COP26. The first sunshine they'd probably seen in a fortnight and many selfies with the tame Highland coos.summitter13/11/2021

Note that parking charges were introduced at Balmaha in September. They are not unreasonable compared to the Lake District and an hour is free (for those, unlike me, who can run up and down Conic in that time.)Ben Rinnes27/09/2021
