I did not expect this to be even classified Brucie Bonus. Used mountain trail to get to cairn, a real cold windy day. Views from here very good, plus could see my corbett target of Meall a' Ghuibhais clearly. Definite crampon day from around 200m onwards. Company: Soloiandesbottes08/02/2024

Up the excellent Pony Path from the visitor centre to its end, then north easterly to Leathad Buidhe across strewn sandstone morraine. Passing the lovely nearby lochans we next headed westward up the steep path to Meall a'Ghiubhais ... quite an ask in surprisingly warm and windless conditions. Once summited, we bombed down the SE flank back to the top of the Pony path, then headed into Allt Loch an Tuill Bhain, a strangely dark chasm below the sharp sunlit peaks of Beinn Eighe towering above. A narrow path along the east bank allowed relatively easy access to the south side of Ruadh-stac Beag. Its a tough scramble up boulders and scree to the moon-like summit plateau, but well worth the effort. The panorama is truly spectacular, but with dusk arriving it was time to lock it in the memory bank and head back to the visitor centre. 6.5 hrs total. Great day in superb conditions and great company.summitter07/11/2020

Started at the visitors car park at Loch Maree. Took the path under the road and followed the left hand path for the mountain trail. The right hand path over the bridge takes you around the short Forest trail. A fairly steep climb on a clear path all the way up to the conservation Cairn at the summit. Stunning views on a glorious day. Would have liked to continue the climb up Meall a Ghiubhas but our legs didn't have it in them. One for the future.tidebrook10/05/2016
