A ridge walk from Aberarder. Up the path/stream ascending Na Cnapanan to Carn Liath, west to Meall an-t Snaim and Stob Coire a'Chriochairein, the east over A'Bhuideannach to Stob Coire Dubh. Below freezing on the ridge with swirling mists and stags roaring, especially the Glenshirra Forest. Trees in the Creag Meagaidh reserve looking beautiful, with Autumn pointillist leaves.Nick Down113/10/2019
Climbed from Aberarder car park to do the Creag Meagaidh circuit, with Carn Laith first, Stob Poite Coire Ardair then Creag Meagaidh, retuning down the Coire Ardair path from The Window. Once above Na Cnapanan, very thick mist pretty much throughout with very strong winds. Meet Richard on the summit of Carn Laith, thankfully we teamed up to do the other two in the circuit, as without his GPS I would have turned back to the car park. 07:10 hrs all in.chillyman805/10/2019

From Aberarder, followed path past the farmhouse, through the Coill' a'Choire woods then up slopes to E, eventually finding a track near a line of old iron fence posts that led onto the ridge a short way NW of Na Cnapanan, then continued on to summit of Carn Liath. Turned W and followed line of ridge all the way along to Stob Poite Coire Ardair, decent to 'Window', then up on to plateau E of Carn Meagaidh and across this to the summit, returning E and SE to Puist Coire Ardair and along E ridge to Sron a' Choire, descending along Allt Bealach a' Choire to ATV track and bridge across river near Aberarderkdbennett08/10/2017

Round of Creag Meagaidh & surrounding hills from Aberarder with Shaky on an overcast but clear day. Fairly brutal ascent of Carn Liath, but then a fine circuit over the various tops westwards, gradually gaining more height to Stob Poite Coire Ardair. Dropped to the Window & then on to Creag Meagaidh. Took the direct route back over Puist Coire Ardair & the other tops. As we wandered the last bit back to the start, a squall swept up Loch Laggan. A large rumble of thunder had me running for the car while Shaky scoffed at my caution. A flash of lightning hitting a fence post about 200m away & a colossal simultaneous clap of thunder had me bent double & Shaky falling face down on the muddy path!NotReallyABagger25/08/1997

Cairngorm Club meet - with a fellow member. We left the roadside near Aberader and walked on the footpath to Lochan a Choire. We ascended the window. There are very impressive cliffs here. We entered mist just above the top of the window. We reached the summit of Stob Poite Coire Ardair, the east top and Sron Coire a’ Chriochairean. Many deer were seen ahead, crossing south to north. We went south a little to avoid disturbing them. We continued to Carn Liath and Stob Coire Dhuibh before descending. Rain from time to time, but not heavy. The mist finally cleared above Choire a' Chriocharean.pwbellarby28/09/1981
