Parked at the junction of the Aldivalloch and Gauch roads - take care to avoid the rather well disguised ditch between the parking area and the road (though you can park at the info board at the Aldivalloch road end if returning to there). Over the hill to Cairnbrallan and the ATV beyond up the Craoibhe-cuilinn which takes a higher line than the track on the map which doesn't exist any more. Cut off at some gritting mounds to the top. Straight down to the glen then cut the corner to the grassy track up the Black Water (which crosses the burn repeatedly). To the end of the track then up Crespet Hill and then more or less a straight line to Allt Cowan Hill. Past the interesting Cairns of Garbet and over the electric fences (again) to the nice wee slot north of Broomknowe of Garbet to pick up th track and the long gradual descent to the car. | StueyB | 09/09/2023 |

Walked from Carn na Bruar. Had lunch in sunshine overlooking lochs. | 187lenny | 08/12/2019 |
From Round Hill then on to Carn na Bruar. To be fair to Martin there was some deep heather on the steep final descent to the burn, before climbing up Carn na Bruar. Otherwise good going. | Dave McG | 21/12/2018 |
From Glenlivet. Not sure where Martin is coming from but this hill is surprisingly heather and indeed tussock free ! | chalky1953 | 28/07/2017 |
