Parked one of the forest access point to the south (room for a few cars without blocking the access) Forest road for about a mile before a well defined track takes you the rest of the way. Around and 1 1/2 hoursPilotralph 14/10/2022
A fine micro adventure from Quinach road end to NE -after work at Kemnay (from where this long high hill looms large in the distance). Gorgeous twilight ascent via a rough roundabout overgrown route to the trig then a km of soul destroying deep heather to gain another 130m of ascent in a failing race against failing daylight. Not a sheep or deer track to be found, nor any quad tracks, paths or even patches of reedy grass or stones to reduce the effort. Waded on - conscious I would be coming back down this in the dark soon. Disbelief on summit in dark to find a good path coming up from the S. Too good to ignore -so took a gamble - which worked out well by headtorch with a lower down lengthy forest track back to the car. I later did a futile web search for paths / mb routes on this hill -but I did find the Corrennie Forest unexpectedly listed as a suitable venue on a naturist website (?)Chris Pearson06/11/2020
