The most wonderful of hard frosty sunrise mornings -blue sky and not a breath of wind. Up before dawn at 5am to run up and down 4 little Tumps before school at 9am for a sad last day before all schools close indefinitely due to Covid-19. Country / World under a blanket of worry -but running on the hills at sunrise a perfect uplift. On summit at 8.02 then chatting to the Head at school 30 mins later who was bemused by my pre-school hill runs. Then changed to start the last school work day before Covid closure - with some staff already off self isolating -then 9 more small Tumps to come after work later this afternoon. A most unusual day in differing ways.Chris Pearson20/03/2020

Here for the trigpoint. TP:UK log: Mr TJR parked in a field entrance (NJ 58974 14372) as there really wasn't anywhere to park, he was then given a good telling off by a local and told you can't park in a field entrance, not even if you are waiting in the car apparently. I followed the 'track' which disappeared and ended up on some rough cattle rutted ground, then had to cross numerous gates (NJ 58804 13773) and fences, one of which had lots of barbed wire (new), ended up using a huge cattle lick bucket to hold the strands open so I could get through. Once at trig I didn't fancy a return journey so asked Mr TJR to drive around to Broomhill Farm, still had to negotiate the wall and the gorse down to the car. Suggest you go from Broomhill Farm to NJ 57889 13099, then to NJ 57847 13144 and up to NJ 57726 13279 through two gates and up to the trigpoint, return via the same route.thejackrustles09/09/2018
