| A CW circuit of Glentye Hill, Greenforet, Kidlaw and Big Hunt Hill from a pull-in near where a track leads up Glentye opposite a field gate just N of the stand of trees on the Sheriffmuir road N of the inn. Took advantage of dry weather to cut across the Old Wharry Burn just below its confluence en route from Greenforet to Kidlaw. | Cycled out to Sheriffmuir at 7.30am to grab some sunshine, avoid my fellow man and woman, and shake off a lockdown induced hangover. Easy track from the woodland at point 314m north east of the Inn. Then headed down to the Old Wharry Burn and up the newly planted Kidlaw Hill and over to Big Hunt Hill. | With Jenx. Up from parking at the temporarily closed Sherrifmuir hill, through the capse up road and a circuit taking in Glentye Hill, Greenforet Hill, BlairDenon, Kidlaw Hill and Big Hunt Hill. | Solo. From group of trees at NN832026. After ascending Glentye Hil, Mickle Corum, Greenforet Hill and Blairdenon Hill. I took a direct line to the col south of Kidlaw Hill going down and then up. A mistake as the terrain was not good. There is a new fence south of Kidlaw Hill with a gate. A track passes through the gate, which I followed to the summit. Kept high to reach the summit of Big Hunt Hill. Route over Little Hunt Hill is not now feasible due to recent extensive afforestation. | Started from road at 822006, heading ENE alongside woodland. At end of woodland headed NE to Little Hunt then curved round to Big Hunt. At that point the sky darkened and it began to snow, so I decide to leave Kidlaw Hill for another day and headed back.
