7 tump round turgeny, auldcraigoch hill, dersalloch hill, meikle hill of the shalloch, big hill of the baing, trostan hill, kildoach hill, from parking to the north at windfarm entrance, nice sunny day.robertphillips11/03/2018
2nd hill of 9 today on a route from Grimmet (on B741) to Maybole climbing Auchenroy Hill then Ssw to forest ride continuing past ride heading Sw then into firebreak then ENE to summit. Descent back but headed into another firebreak Sw to explore ground before returning to the wide ride then took ride Nw, Sw then Nw to exit the forest. Sounds complicated but satellite image shows rides and firebreaks clearly. Next hill Turgeny.Dazingdale14/05/2017

Straiton-Craig Hill-Doonans Hill-Kildoach Hill-Trostan Hill-Big Hill of the Baing-Meikle Hill of the Shalloch-Dersalloch Hill-Turgeny-Auldcraigoch Hill-Auchenroy Hill trig-Dalmellington. Made wet entrance to forestry at NS435050, then followed narrow break up to a left turn on to the second wider break which passes just below the summit.campagvelocet03/10/2016
Not sure about agentmancuso's comments but the most obvious fire break took me to within 50m of summit !!chalky195309/09/2015
Summit in the trees. From the trig, take the firebreak to the left, rather than the more obvious one slightly to the right. Best viewpoint is from the cairn SE of the trig.agentmancuso24/02/2008
