Parking area just north over Holm of Dalquhairn Bridge. Followed fence up to the summit cairn on good grass. The fence continued over the N Top and all the way up to Alwhat. Solo.Dangerous Dave09/10/2022
From Glen Afton along track all the way to coll below Meikledodd Hill which was then climbed. Then down and over Brown Hill and out to Ewe Hill (todays new bag). Returned over Alwhat taking north ridge down to sheepfold and back along the track. Cracking day.SS20/03/2022
From parking area (NX 6622 9941). Up road for 350m, then followed fenceline up to top. Good pasture, bit steep. On to the North Top -> Alhang -> Alwhat and picked up Altry Hill on the way down.jonglew30/04/2021
From Polskeoch. Useful tracks all the way to the ridge. Blacklorg Hill, Meikledodd Hill Alwhat, Alhang Ewe Hill and steep descent to Lorg. Old track along Ken Valley and through forest eventually joining track back to Polskeoch. With B and R.jenx24/08/2020
Approx 40km round from Glen Afton, starting near Craigdarroch. Direct ascent to Yarngallows Knowe, then Struther's Brae, Black Hill (also visiting tops similar in height to the summit), Black Hill, Wedder Hill, Millaneoch Hill, Keoch Rigg, Moorbrock Hill N Top, Moorbrock Hill, Dodd Hill (+ nearby mounds of similar height), Mid Hill of Glenhhead, camped near summit off Alhang. Continued short distance to Alhang summit, then Ewe Hill N Top, Ewe Hill, Alwhat, Meikledodd Hill, Blacklorg Hill, Cannock Hill and Craigbraneoch Hill, descending to cross bridge at Craigdarroch. Car park 100m N. of Dalquhairn Bridge at NX 6621 9938 - N. along road for 500m & then NW up a faint ATV track which passes through an area of dead bracken; the track disappeared under fresh snow at a height of about 380m, but nevertheless a fairly straightforward climb over decent terrain to the summit cairn. 6th top of 11 on a 29km circuit from the Glen Afton road, climbing Craigbraneoch, Cannock Hill, Alwhat, Alhang (twice) then Ewe Hill North top, following fenceline to the cairn. Parked by Lorg Bridge at the end of the Water of Ken road, although the last few hundred yards are distinctly bumpy. A steep grassy ascent to Ewe Hill's wire-bound summit cairn, then Ewe Hill NW Top, Alhang, Alwhat, Meikledodd Hill, Corse Hill with its mossy trig pillar, and back by forestry roads and a quagmire of a path through the trees to Lorg.Nick Down118/11/2018
