1st of 11 hills on a 29km circuit from the Glen Afton road, parking at NS63179 06416 then via track over the Afton Water and up through rough vegetation improving South via Garnel Craig up steeply to the 500m contour then Sse to the summit, the wind making it a challenge to stand on the summit. Consequently my GPS reading of 600m was off. Beautiful hill from the top, the NW and later from the East. I continued past the lochan to the SE heading SSE for Cannock hill...Dazingdale23/09/2019
Solo. Parked just south of start of track to Blackcraig. Up to Quintin Knowe for a satisfying circuit of Blackcraig Hill, Blacklorg Hill, Meikledodd Hill, Cannoch Hill and Craigbranreoh Hill. A short distance before the summit of Craigbranreoh Hill I came across a waymark post. I had seen a few others earlier in the day which delineate a route from Blackcraig via Quintin Knowe to Blackcraig Hill, Blacklorg Hill, Cannoch Hill and towards Craigbranreoh Hill. After going to the summit of Craigbranreoh Hill I went back to the waymark post and followed the suggested direction down to the dam where there is another waymark post. Mist lifted off the tops as I started the walk so I could see where I was going- always nice! Rain towards the end.pwbellarby28/04/2019
