Small parking area by footbridge outside terraced bungalows, Leadhills. Slanting path uphill to gate above woods. Gravel road to ridge. Across short heather to summit cairn. Solo.Dangerous Dave24/01/2024
From B 797, north of Waterhead, parking at NS 88747 17694. Headed north and crossed the burn (trees now felled), taking the track SE up the glen, then by sheep tracks steeply up to the summit of Wellgrain Dod. Then by stony tracks NE onto the top of Coom Dodd. Retraced route SW, continuing on a track over Bulmer Moss, and around onto the south shoulder of Wool Law. At the highest point on the track, followed a faint path through the heather onto the top of Wool Law. To descend, re-joined the track, taking it down to the road for a 1.7km hike along it N back to the car. Solo. 10.6km, with 375m of ascent.Man of Kernow129/05/2023
Parked at start of track (NS 88531 16000, space for 1 car). Track to Coom Dod, then Wellgrain Dod. Return to track before diversion to Wool Law: faint ATV track goes from NS 89465 16397 most of the way.PGCE21/09/2022
Parking 100m N of track start (NS884160). Along 4x4 track to Coom Dod, back to Wellgrain Dod (on 4x4 branch). A bit of a slog up Wool Law on irksome heather (no tx), a very very faint FP cum ATV tk led back almost to col at NS893163Isbjorn19/09/2022

Good track from just N of Leadhills, parking just up into said track at NS 8853 1601. Followed track for ~1200m then headed off NW across heather. On to Wellgrain Dod, Coom Dod and Harryburn Brae with second car on B7040 due S at cattle grid (NS 9324 175). With Dave McG.jonglew31/12/2021

Firm parking area at NS 90867 16230 & up Coom Dod & Wellgrain Law - From Wellgrain Law, back down to the main SW-NE track - SW along track to shooting butts & then NW across heather, making use of available ATV tracks, to the summit cairn. From B7040 below where old viaduct was up to trackbed then along and up land rover track and out to Wellgrain Dodd and Coom Dodd. Returned back on track to cut up to Wool Law on easy ground. Direct return to car.SS05/05/2018
