Last hill of the day from WanlockheadAndrew Simmons11/07/2023
From the end of the tarmacked road and up the SUW.hillsman06/06/2023
Up the SUW from Wanlockhead, then approached the summit from the west, along the fence line, where there is a good track all the way to the summit. A bit boggy in places, but it was February and hissing it down most of the day! Gold prospectors were panning in the river below - one guy said he had taken £500 of flour gold (dust) so far this year.Toby-and-Dion18/02/2023
From Wanlockhead, where a path goes up to Black Hill and on to Green Hill. From here, a narrower path heads to Stood Hill, where a fence line provides a straightforward direction finder to Willowgrain Hill and over to Conrig Hill. Then along the SUW, with a short shimmy to Glengaber Hill, all the way back to Wanlockhead. The industrial history of the village is worth a visit alone. 3.5hrs total, including stops at all the interpretation panels en route.summitter26/01/2023

After 4 Dodds in the morning, drove to end of surfaced road at Meadowfoot, then along SUW and 300m over grass to high point. Then on to Leadhills for my final 2 for the day.NormanW29/09/2021
Parked at end of public road (NS 8630 1373), could easily have driven a lot further - good ungated track leads on. Followed SUW until due N of the hill, then across rough pasture. On to Slough Hill -> Snarhead Hill -> Sowen Dod. A wet and windy 7.5 mile round.jonglew25/03/2021
