Parking at WF gate NT005139. Recommend taking a photo of the WF map at the start because the branches, on the hill, are confusing.Isbjorn18/09/2022
Wide verge for parking by windfarm entrance (NT 0054 1394). WF roads with some short cuts across rough ground to Horse Pow Hill -> Wintercleuch Fell, then across to here with some further short cuts over rough ground between WF roads. On to Archibald Gair Head -> Ring Hill for a 13km round . Bike collected at another WF entrance (NS 9867 1570) for 2.75k cycle back to car.jonglew15/10/2021
From Allershaw by bike, then on to Wintercleuch and back via Horse Pow. Foggy.NormanW12/10/2021
Along the east side of Daer Reservoir, taking the track to Shiel Burn, from where an ATV route goes all the way to Earlside. Headed northwards, taking in the newly re-planted Mosshope Fell then Beld Knowe and on to Hods Hill, the ridge path making things very straightforward. We continued on to the windfarm track riddled summits of Wintercleuch Fell, Horse Pow Hill and Tomont Hill, returning to the reservoir head via the track along the southern flank of Lion Hill.summitter12/08/2021
With Claire. Exact same route as gerrybowes. 15km, 360m ascent.MickyRoss02/04/2021

From Wintercleuch Fell, WSW down WF road to gates just before T171 - Through right-hand gate, down over short sheep-grazed pasture & then stone track down to road at 972097 - Road walk back to car.
