From Kames car park. | Andrew Simmons | 31/10/2023 |
Start & finish at the Kames CP, using tracks, waterlogged ATV routes and heather tramping to take in Wardlaw Hill, Stony Hill, Cairn Table, Douglas Rig and Little Cairn Table. 6hrs. | summitter | 25/01/2023 |
Clear (if soggy) ATV track runs from summit to end of track at 683240 | 49pp | 09/11/2022 |
Parked at Macadam's Cairn (NS 6941 2578). Followed a good track S for ~2.75k (to NS 7028 2348), then peeled off across rough heathery ground until eventually picking up an atv track somewhere near the eastern end of the 480m contour. Trig buried block found at the obvious small mound SE of memorial cairn/summit. | jonglew | 25/01/2022 |
Up the faint track from the east of the summit, then down a more direct route NE to the bridge. Not too boggy today, but after rain the longer route would be better. | Pete R | 19/06/2021 |
Walked up from muirkirk on mc adams first road, bit of history there. had spotted a track of sorts heading up to wardlaw hill from the main track, its not obvious at the start, follow the fenceline, it does become clearer. | hils | 04/11/2019 |
3rd hill of 8 on a 26.4km circuit from Fingland road end, climbing White Hill and Stony Hill, continuing Wnw over rough terrain, following the fenceline from the 455m mark. I recorded 507m @ NS 68799 22561 before continuing directly for Cairn Table... | Dazingdale | 24/09/2019 |
parked at the golf club house, biked up track to 1 km past metal pedestrian bridge, along track/fence to the top, bump 25 m SE looks higher. cut corner on way down to meet track, not great. | robertphillips | 16/10/2018 |
Sanquhar track from Muirkirk then up fence line along shoulder. | chrisbien | 17/05/2016 |
