From there a near enough direct line S over rough tussocky ground to mapped windfarm road. On to Bowbeat Hill, Hog Knowes and return for a 10mile round.jonglew20/02/2023
Did a trio of Moorfoot Donalds starting near Moorfoot Farm. Not too bad underfoot for September - could be awful though.jigglybones18/09/2022

Followed the track from Jeffries Corse NT to the windfarm. Top was next to a turbine.JAdair9716/04/2022
Parking at start of private road (NT329423), NW on forest tracks to junction at NT278472, then SE to join Bowbeat windfarm new road network - Bowbeat Hill, Bowbeat Rig Head and return same way - a long, long way of tracks. Windfarm signs suggest there is an East access road, but not shown on my map, so didn't risk itIsbjorn16/11/2021
As others from Eddleston via Boreland & the track to Dundreich. Very wet & misty. Soggy tramp over to Bowbeat Hill & Emly Bank. Back by same route to dry out.NotReallyABagger05/10/2021

Between second and third. Nearly missed it.Play2End05/02/2017
6th hill of 11 today on a challenging route from Peebles to Leadburn via Venn Law, Maisingland hill, Whitelaw edge, Cardron Law, Hog Knowes and then down through forest and up with a touch of scrambling to access wind farm tracks. I took a video of the blades moving and 'whooshing' through the air. Summit on or close to one of the tracks.Dazingdale05/05/2016
Moorfoot round. Hate to say it, but the turbine access roads make life easier round here.ngthack12/09/2015
Walk from Gladhouse Reservoir for a round to Blackhope Scar. Quite rough under foot in parts, windfarm tracks further round were helpful, but would rather not have the farms personally.nickywood104/05/2015
Solo. After ascending Blackhope Scar. Descended towards Bowbeat Hill using wind farm tracks once I got to the wind farm. Summit of Bowbeat Hill does not have a cairn and is away from fence junction where I had thought the summit would be. Joined wind farm track again to go to Bowbeat Rig Head. I think highest point is a little to the east of the track. Carried on to Dundreich.pwbellarby28/01/2014

With Darren from Edd;leston -rough tusocks after Jeffries Corse -very roughbhether to lovely (i.e easy walking) on track of new wind farm -big turbines up close. Sick making looking from below at the turning blades! Awkward forest to fight through dead mole. down and up over Hog Knowes- . Out of forest and nice easy running descent into Longcote Burn. Camped below White MeldonChris Pearson05/08/2011
Circuit of Dundreich and Bowbeat Hill. Wind turbines really majestic close up.andy03/07/2010

Donald round from Jeffries Corse North Top to Blackhope Scar.Eddie12/06/1993
Fortunately, I was dropped off at the south side of Gladhouse Reservoir, the car park has not yet been reopened by the water company after COVID and also there were lots of “warning plague” messages (which I assume had been put up during the height of lockdown by the villagers) as you entered Moorfoot but all was well. Up to Blackhope Scar, shrouded in mist, and then through the windfarm (ignoring the “No unauthorised personnel” signs). Bowbeat Rig Head is pretty insignificant being bang in the middle of the wind farm. By the time I got to Dundreich the cloud had gone and there were 360 degree views of Edinburgh, Fife and the Pentland hills.tsharpblank
