From Walkerburn, walked road NE and took gated road 'Old Caberston Forest' (NT 3719 3768) for Early Knowe then Scawd Law (via a revisit to Cairn Hill). From Scawd, steeply down NW to cross East Grain and onto Middle Hill, contouring round at 400m until NE of here, crossed the West Grain/Thorter Sike burn junction and up to here. On to Kirnie Law.jonglew17/01/2024

Parking just S of metal bridge over R Tweed in Walkerburn (NT361368). Lane adjacent to farm café shop N and up to Priesthope ruins. Forest track SE then steeply straight up S ridge of Cairn Hill. Thin FP in heather to Scawd Law. Angled down to East Grain (tough heather) to contour around south flank of Middle Hill to West Grain, then steeply up to col at Priesthope Sware. Steeply up to Priesthope Hill. MTB tracks down to and over Kirnie Law, down SW to bend in forest track NT342380. Followed this E to Purvis Hill – do not try and shortcut NE here down to Walkerburn – there is massive windblowIsbjorn01/05/2023

Parked at golf club. Mainly cycle tracks (shown on Openstreetmap) to summit. Continued to Kirnie Law.PGCE15/03/2021
From Walkerburn out to Priesthope then forest tracks to Kirnie Law and on to Priesthope Hill. From there bit of a trudge out to Windlestraw Law picking up top on return and out over Scawd Law can Cairn Hill. Sun kept trying but never got there.SS18/11/2018
Parked by forest entrance next to Club House at 336389 - Followed the waymarked 'tourist route' which heads S, NE & then N to the summit stones. Soon after emerging from forest, passed the remains of a large 1920s concrete reservoir tank which stored water to produce power for a textile mill in Walkerburn. The nearby disused pumping station pumped water back up again at night. (S)gerrybowes18/10/2018
