From new forestry road, cutting corners and following wall. Gate through barbed wire wall, then along by the new deer fence to the tiny cairn.NormanW08/03/2022
Bike up the new road and along the ridge. Only walked the last few metres to summit. Fine day with stiff breeze, a friend on the way up. Tree planters were at work.fasgadh03/02/2022
From east on new track, which I was relieved to find has been constructed for trees not turbines. Turn right at the fork and it takes you almost to the summit. Don't go through the top gate - the summit is inside the new deer fence.Wycombe Wanderer29/12/2021
Consolation hill, deciding to bag a couple of HuMPs on way back to Melrose Gibson Park C&Mh Club site after deciding 13:15pm in December at trailhead and pouring rain was too late to attempt the 4 miles e/w up/down Burnhope Scar. Parked at new forestry track entrance NT449381. Ascent via Dunlee Hill Wood S. boundary but best is up and down new forestry track. Blinding snowstorm on approach to summit and followed wall NW to summit. My Garmin made most southerly 340 contour ring as hp, apparently it is not. Plan was to go up Mains Hill next but pleased I didn't road was nearly impassable back to A7.mntainman04/12/2021
Up through fields and over walls. Down via new track that goes nearly to the top. With B, B and R.jenx01/08/2021
