From the CP as others. Best way is probably to backtrack a bit to edge of wood and then follow path up edge to high point then through fence and over sheepy hillside to summit.sclater18/04/2022
From parking at Pressmennan Wood. Up right hand track to blank information board. Then a little further before zig-zagging up through beech and pine trees. Some storm damaged tress higher up. Over wall and fence, and steeply up to summit. Came down W, around edge of stubble field.Minto17/01/2022

After Newmains, followed road round, then cut up through field after second burn crossing. Fantastic viewpoint on a glorious winter's day - 60 mile views to W, N and E. To S is big windfarm. On to Pressmennan.Thearlaichdubh28/01/2019
From forest car park. Found a spot on forest fence where there was no barbed wire.KevPalmer06/05/2018

Should have noted Agent's log. Followed upper track to highest point then path to barbed wire fence and cows. Back beyond clearing then up through forest to open hillside. By luck found Agent's path on way down.chrisbien20/07/2014
From car park at Pressmennan Wood. Along main track for a short distance, then straight up through trees. Found a less brutal way back down, a little trail that starts from just before (west of) the car park.agentmancuso29/05/2010
Trig visit.ARM21/03/2010
Pillar still has its top but only just. All the top layer is now loose and held on only by force of habit. Came up through the gorse from the SW.andy07/01/2007
