Parked at the forestry track about half a mile to the south of the farm. Up to the farm, onto the forestry track and then b-lined for the summit when it ended. | JAdair97 | 24/02/2024 |
Deceptively big. Parking at Langhaugh (NT200311). Ignore the private access by appointment only sign. Zig zag up to gate and forest ways which diverge. L ascends steadily on a green lane to col at NT212322, then ATV tk starts from green terminus. Further up than you think, the trees end sooner than the map suggests and you soon arrive at a top with a cairn, but it is not the top. ATV tk continues but gets fainter and fainter, and goes on forever. Sapling and MEB just before the top. | Isbjorn | 05/09/2023 |
Parked S of Langheugh, by underground bunker. Across footbridge, up around forest, across burn to forest road, and its end. Steeply up alongside pleasant burn to summit. Onwards to White Cleuch and Blackhouse Heights. | Minto | 03/02/2023 |
Roadside parking near Langhaugh farm entrance (NT 2005 3118). Through farm, good track up through Langhaugh Hope to it's termination, then an easy route along East Grain. On to Black Cleuch and White Cleuch Hills and return for a 12k round. | jonglew | 05/05/2022 |
Weather fair. | MountainMac | 17/07/2021 |
Parked at bridge then up track and steep clim to fenceline. Went off and bagged spot height (an investment only) but returned by coming down Horse Hope Rig on a good atv track to the forestry track (the trees here are another figment of the OS imagination). Gives excellent views and worth the extra quarter of an hour. | SS | 08/07/2021 |
Parked at entrance to Langhaugh. Up track, and straight up - forest is very open. | PGCE | 21/03/2021 |
Parked at the entrance to Langhaugh farm. Straight up the glen and out at the coll. | Andrew Simmons | 27/11/2020 |
Verge parking 50m S. of entrance to Langhaugh at 200311 - Over bridge & up to end of track at 212304 - Continued heading ESE up wide gap in forest (not shown on map) & then up over a fair bit of tussock to col - ATV track up ridge to unmarked summit; this lies about 25m E. of the track & old fence line. Back same way. (S) | gerrybowes | 28/07/2020 |

In morning continued S along broad ridge to Deer Law and then W to Greenside Law. Descent to path back to glen and short road walk back to car on hot sunny day. | RobertP | 17/06/2017 |
