| ACW from patch of hard standing on the single track road before the gate to Whelphill. Across the Mid Lock Water, up the windfarm track towards the ridge, over Rodger Law, on to Lady Cairn, then back to Harleburn Head, Pin Stane and Clyde Law, North to Black Dod and Whitecamp Brae, South and then West to Broad Hill, Yearngill Head and Pinnacle or Midge Hill, continuing along the windfarm track W and donning a headtorch for the descent to the car. An unspectacular rollercoaster of a walk, but with views in all directions if you can avoid the wind turbines and offering mainly dry track walking after prolonged rain. | Nick Down1 | 30/10/2021 |
| From layby on A701 (NT 0498 1463), direct line over rough and wet ground to Little Bog Hill then Hazelbush Hill -> Clyde Law. From there dropped down over rough ground to pick up WF road before diverting off over rough ground again for here. On to Harleburn Head -> Nap Hill -> Errickstane Hill -> Tinny Bank. | Parked just before gate on verge on minor road running E by Midlock Water. Climbed initially steep slopes to reach windfarm road, then mainly the windfarm tracks visiting Pinnacle, Yearngill Head, Black Dodd, Clyde Law, Pin Stane, Harleburn Head (visiting another nearby mound of similar height to listed summit), camping overnight by summit.
