Logged Descriptions  (logged by 15 users)ByDate of Ascent
Parked at Shankend Farm, under the viaduct (NT 5218 0593). Good track leads S for ~2km to a wide break at NT 5177 0452, then steeply up the break to another narrow one leading to the summit. Wandered across to the 411m spot height, but unable to see one spot from the other. On to Catrail Edge and White Hill for a wet 12.4km round and a Topo Section P08 completion.jonglew10/01/2022
From track end NT537035 followed to Quarry then up SW fire break.Anton24/08/2019
P Shankend Fm road end, grass track after viaduct which disappears at the a large triangular clearing - stick to the fence rather than following quad tracks downhill - then big logging track to NT 51640 04173 where a narrow FB takes you all the way to the top clearing.agentmancuso20/07/2019
Started as RHW, under viaduct then muddy track followed by nice green one until it joined huge logging track. Followed this until past a quarry and up the wrong firebreak. Broad clearing on top with firebreaks at each end, took readings at both N one and SW one (near some metalwork). Easy descent down SW one.Aye Jimmy17/02/2019
From NNE, Shankend Farm, P main road S of entrance. Forest road then simple steep spruce climb, hp in ride just N of clearing or poss in ride just SW of clearing. OSBM Bolt on bridge buttress near startRHW15/04/2018
Fairly direct line from Catrail Edge, made easier by intervening forest being felled, stillplenty of stumps and brash to negotiate. The obvious firebreak goes directly to the topColin Crawford29/11/2017
P minor rd to N. Track and then up through trees just S of W of top. S then W back to path. Up from loch to second top.chrisbien17/06/2013
