Fought up to the summit, not too much fun. Coming down just as tough, very glad to make it to a track.AJH17/10/2023

From Pennant, after Y Groes Fagl. Attacked from S, thru scattered spruce; HP is heather among scattered spruce. Descent W to rejoin forest road ran into dense young spruce - best return S. Then to GeifrRHW24/11/2018
On way back from Foel Cedig. Not as bad as I feared. I left the track when due south of top and managed to avoid most of the thick forest although there do indeed to seem to be too many ditches. On the way back I tried to cut corners and did get in a bit of trouble.clivevilla04/09/2018

As nearby Foel y Geifr from AberHirnant along forest rides. This top is even worse than FyG. all looks promising but the forestry track that links the lower very good track to the upper doesnt exist. once at the summit area its knee deep heather, slippery tree stumps and an absurd number of deep ditches. Some of the ditches are 2ft deep and as wide. Some as deep but only 9 inches wide and all but obscured by the heather and rough grass.. Its an absolute pig of a place-The worst summit in 30E. Will be a cold day in hell when I come back here.stig_nest06/09/2016
Solo From Y Groes Fagl on the way down to the road. I wouldn't have bothered except I had time to kill and foresting had removed a large portion of the trees. Still a tough one.Aimless Rambler29/05/2016
Fought my way through the trees, not the easiest summit to reach. Approached through a gate (at the closest point of the forest edge to the summit conveniently).JohnStoneham14/11/2013
From track SH974295, NE through trees then NW heather bashing to top.Anton18/02/2013
