Had planned to bag a few more today but just the 5. Hard going all day today and I was glad to get back to track and head for home. | Dusty | 11/10/2023 |

Parked in the lay by on the A458. Walked along the road to Dol-y-Maen. Followed forest road to just short of Tir Rhiwiog, took right fork and easily got to edge of the forest then up by fence to Drum Ddu with its splendid cairn (best summit of the walk). Retraced route back to track junction and to summit tree of Tir Rhiwiog. Then down forest road to just past the gate, left along sheep trod until under summit of Cefn Brith Uchaf, then direct up to the top. Back to the forest road and down to the first bend, then down and crossed the stream, picking up a small trod contouring round and going much of the way to Foel Lluestbadion, from where easy ascent of the top could be made. Headed down, crossing to the road above the deepening valley. Right down the road to forest edge. Then up ATV track, picking up another one going through cut plantation nearly to the top of Mynydd Maes-Glas (Mynydd Clywedog). Now east, skirting round the top of the bog, then up the energy sapping heather | silveracorn_alan | 13/04/2023 |

Parked on tiniest bit of verge on minor road near Nant-yr-onog. Up track then north to Y Gribin. Good route. Long route NE then SE on mainly pathless rough moor to Foel Lluestbadion & Drum Ddu then SW to pick up track to Tir Rhiwiog. Cefn Brith Uchaf then more rough moor to Mynydd Maes-glas before returning north to West bound track back to start. Tough walking when not on tracks. | ijpowell | 12/05/2017 |
Tir Rhiwiog, Drum Ddu, Foel Lluestbadlon, Cefn Brith Uchaf and Mynydd Maes-Glas from layby at 936139. Frisky cows with young calves on the first part of the track up and mostly pathless after Tir Rhiwiog but a glorious sunny day. | clivevilla | 10/05/2017 |

Parked in the layby on A458. Took track up from main road at approx 943136 making a circular trip of Tir Rhiwiog, Drum Ddu, Foel Lluestbadlon, Cefn Brith Uchaf and Mynydd Maes-glas. Only attempted because the poor conditions prevented me from heading up Aran Fawddwy. | JohnStoneham | 11/11/2013 |
from Llanymawdwy over llanerchfydaf, tir rhiwog, Drum Ddu. from there followed fence and at 90 degree bend went cross country to tussocky grassy ill definded top. not really worth the effort as its not as good a viewpoint as Drum Ddu | stig_nest | 10/08/2013 |
