As others, parked on verge at 657 134, and followed the old road up to the pass. Then branched off to the trig at Pen y Garn, across country with quite a drop and re ascent to Esgair Berfa, then followed sheep trods by fence lines over Trawsfynydd to Braich Ddu with its fantastic view over the Mawddach estuary, before descending to the old road at the pass by an easy track on the north side of the fence. Finished the route with a short excursion off the old road to Craigmerwydd - a charming minor peak. Altogether 16km in distance with 650m ascent, taking 4h 30m.silveracorn_alan08/08/2022

Parked on grass verge at start of track at 657134 (Space for 2 cars) – After ascent of Esgair Berfa, dropped back down to col & then made use of sheep trods which take you to within a couple of feet of the unmarked summit. Continued to Braich Ddu. (S)gerrybowes26/05/2017

From Fairbourne up by quarry and on using forest roads to Braich Ddu then following fence lines (stiles on most) over Trawsfynydd to Esgair Berfa. Back down to land rover track (and inevitable land rovers) then over Pen y Garn and back down to quarry (one awkward wall).SS25/10/2015

From 3440 on way back to car. The banana shaped footpath to NW has been very churned up by tractor type vehicles and was very wet even though general conditions were dry.destaylor30/04/2015
From Esgair Berfa. The summit could be anywhere within 25m of Anton's grid reference due to it's flatness.JohnStoneham17/06/2014
Continuation of walk from Esgair Berfa. Descended NE and north to bwlch (interesting slate boundary marker with many old graffiti on by gate), and then up to the flat boggy summit - again a hill where you take your choice which lump of tussock grass is the summit!Man of Kernow115/06/2014
