Parking SSE of Brownhart Law (NT 7944 0854), just before the red flag. Up to Brownhart first then an easy walk across to here. Dropped down to the road at Makendon on the return. Pleasant 6k round. | jonglew | 04/02/2023 |
6/7 Parked at Buckham's Bridge CP, to do a circular walk visiting Fullhope Edge and Bell Hill, both available as no firing in lambing season. Unfortunately, Whar Moor was closed due to deer stalking. Then down to Blindburn, before following the quad bike track / bridleway over Yearning Law to the mountain refuge hut. Then hopping between England and Scotland along the border fence picking up Raeshaw Fell and Blackhall Hill. Left the border just before Brownhart Law (previously summited) to head ENE along the bridleway across Deel's Hill and back to Buckhams Bridge. A splendid high level route, with only one major descent and re-ascent at Blindburn. Very grey and windy all day. 21km with 890m ascent, taking 5h 20m. | silveracorn_alan | 13/05/2022 |
After Brownheart law and then back to car at Buckham's bridge. HP- levelish rough grass, un marked in lowering sun. | Denise | 06/03/2022 |
Small detour from track to grassy summit, last summit of the day. Lovely walk along the Buckham's Walls Burn watershed, anticlockwise circuit from Buckham's Bridge. Sunshine and great views and a path all the way. | RichardM | 06/03/2022 |
Parked at end of public road near Chew Green. Thirl Moor (558m), Harden Edge (527m), Raven's Knowe (527m), Ogre Hill (516m), Brownhart Law (508m) & Deel's Hill (495m). Solo. | Dangerous Dave | 19/09/2021 |

Parking 500m W of Blindburn. From Blindburn > Yearning Law to the border fence and the Pennine Way. Deviation > Raeshaw Fell then > Deel's Hill and return to parking. | JohnR | 18/09/2020 |
Had a different day planned but the red flags were flying so I parked at 794085 went up Brownhart Law and across to Deels Hill, back up the road, past the car and round to Ravens Knowe. Did Broadside Law on the way out. | clivevilla | 04/09/2020 |
Sunny walk with some showery rain after parking near Buckham's Bridge which was built in 1955. Track used almost to summit. | Dugswell2 | 10/05/2018 |
From Makendon. 17 degrees, light cloud, light breeze. On to Brownhart Law. | Wycombe Wanderer | 27/08/2017 |
With Jo, circular walk from Buckham’s Bridge cp: Broadside Law, then, avoiding climbing new high fencing not shown on our OS map, via the ruin of Yearning Hall to Yearning Law, then past the Mountain Refuge Hut to Raeshaw Fell, before returning over Deel’s Hill. En route feral goats were seen. Weather; sunny, warm, good visibility. | amblerbob | 18/06/2017 |
An easy stroll from Brownhart Law, ground quite dry underfoot. Competing high points are a gentle rise with short grass, or a nearby one with tussocks. | Aye Jimmy | 11/05/2016 |
good views of Cheviots | Adrian | 09/11/2014 |
