| Trackside parking at SX 6075 6118, there are spaces for 2 cars here. From East Rook Gate, at start of access land, there's a fairly clear track all the way to the summit, but it's still a 4km slog across grass moorland - 2 trig pillars en-route to enliven the experience. | jonglew | 31/03/2019 |

| 4 hours & 4 400s on Dartmoor with Darren. A dreadful morning of constant heavy rain and strong winds – excellent Karrimor training weather. Got soaked through (bloody waterproofs) on a 20 + km circuit / run of 4 awkward to link 400m tops. Penn Moor top easy ascent from se – 2 trigs – boggy on top – then a long cross country rough leg on a bearing, some tussocks& bog, picking up any animal tracks or easier bits. rain got steadily worse. Stone Row – strange features. Paddled across river – only calf deep would it be too deep further downstream where we had to re-cross?
