From Lonscale Pike. Contoured surprisingly trodden north rim of Lonscale Pike and dropped straight to col full of deep snow. Pleasant mini ridge looking into the lost wilderness that is the northern fells. Descended to Cumbria Way and followed the icy path to the road and then back to Millbeck in the gorgeous winter dusk. 4.5 hours. | Wycombe Wanderer | 10/12/2017 |
Car park at top of Gale Road at 281254 From Lonscale Pike, followed a decent path WNW across the head of the valley to fence A steep descent on faint path alongside fence to col & then continued along fence line to summit. From the Ravenstone Hotel up to Ullock Pike, along Longside Edge, Carl Side following the Allerdale ramble footpath up between Skiddaw & Little Man, across to Sale How then Skiddaw House, over the river Caldew the back over Lonscale Fell and down into Costa`s in Keswick. The day started with clear blue skies but cloud increased with altitude, in the cloud at the higher points and light snow flurries. Snow on the ground, spikes were used on steepest sections. | mickdavidson | 27/02/2016 |

Lonscale Pike - Lonscale Fell - Burnt Horse | ronaldo333 | 30/01/2016 |
From Sale How. Surprisingly fine ridge: grassy slope to NW and steep heathery crag and scree to SE, spoilt only by the fence that runs along its length. There are a couple of high points. The craggy end of Lonscale Fell dominates the scene. Easy descent to the Skiddaw House path then back to Latrigg c/pk, with a lot of tired looking hill-runners coming towards me! | Aye Jimmy | 19/09/2015 |
Final day in the Lakes. On a round of 7 hills from car park at end of Gale Road: Lonscale Fell, Lonscale Pike, Burnt Horse, Sale How, Skiddaw Little Man, Skiddaw Lesser Man and finally Jenkin Hill. Steep descent from Lonscale Pike, which looked stunning from here. | jonglew | 22/03/2015 |

With Jo, linear walk: Park Wood along CW to Dash Falls (where surprisingly there was a red squirrel sitting on the gatepost - it was last seen scampering up the wall towards Bakestall and Skiddaw) then Skiddaw House and onto Burnt Horse, Lonscale Fell, Lonscale Pike descending by the south ridge to the CW, then onto Keswick. Weather; sunny, very warm, good visibility. | amblerbob | 22/07/2014 |
