From Berrier, sml area to park. Follow the road then track SW to the far end of the wood. Keep to the edge of the wood and follow it down to the fence before the crag. cross it from the wood , boggy slurry. climb up to the crag. Return the same way. Ask permission at the farm first.smocks and denims06/02/2023
Wet evening in combo with the Eycots so from the North. Very boggyconanharrod24/09/2020
Lots of mud, water and a cow-churned field then over a small stile to top. With a (now) muddy Nick.Jacqdaw17/09/2020
Second short Synge walk of the day with Jacqui. Easy parking at Berrier where the old phone box used to be. Good track past cottages, then rest of route very wet and boggy and long grass in places. Actual top is dry and pleasant with access from north via a stile. Out of sight of farm.Hillsidenick17/09/2020

This should be deleted from the list. Clearly it's on a farmers land and there is no right of way. This is just going to annoy him/her.CraigDring28/06/2020
5/6 From old A6 along footpath to How Top, then over Naddles Beck to Eycott Hill and Little Eycott Hill, exit via North East corner of reserve using track to road and over fields to join footpath crossing Highbanks Murrah Hill, continue to lane north of Berrier. Turn off right by phone box to access Greenah Crag without disturbing farm, then cross country easily to Lofshaw Hill. Nice socially isolated round.nickywood102/06/2020

Approached from Berrier. Great snowy scenery and all frozen. With Bryher.jenx31/01/2019
Very easy bag from south - convenient stile provided next to holiday cottages. Nice little summit. Passed the time of day with a farmer on the way back.Wycombe Wanderer09/12/2018
The big advantage of approaching from Berrier is that it takes you directly to the summit, unseen. Park alongside the start of the track to the north east (near the telephone box), and follow this to a gate giving entrance to the open access. Pass through it and turn left following the trees until they finish. Scramble over a couple of easy fences and suddenly, after 100m you are standing on the summit! You can descend down to view the crag from below too. 2.96 km return. 40 minutes.moorsman10/05/2018
Walked up access track, forked left to the farm yard where I asked permission but this is different land. However, they suggested I could squeeze past the black tank at the end of the farmyard where there is a gate to the back of the crag. Job done.DC11main18/01/2018
Walked down lane from Berrier. Through gap in woods, then followed fence across frozen marsh. Two barbed wire fences either side of a ditch to cross, then walked up by fence to summit. Busy farm but managed to get away unseen!Dangerous Dave12/12/2017
Chris Pearson's route worked well. No evidence of anyone in the cottages and no-one at the farm came out.jonglew14/06/2017
R Trev Rob knocked on door to get permission, educated the lady about Synges!! Richard Tait02/06/2017

From Eycott Hill alongside copse as suggested by MAE. Hardly any anxiety- - buildings become visible last minute. Onwards to Lofshaw Hill.Eddie07/01/2017
From Berrier, S end, used track into access land, then quick visit to summit - can get to within 10m without being seen from buildingsAlanD01/01/2017

Bear in mind that this hill looks like it is on private land. I asked permission from the owner of Greenah Crag Farm b&bbenarbia_805/09/2015
From Lofshaw Hill, 500m of bog reaches wood. Easiest to go L around this to arrive behind farm buildings. Nordic's stealth approach used to reach summit overlooking farm. Returned same way - ugh!Aye Jimmy15/03/2015

Parked at end of track on old A66. Tried to find someone to get permission for last 100m. Holiday lets are nearest to summit.destaylor30/05/2014
Parked to South on old A66, small track by copse leads over field to fence then top. Easy, if very wet underfoot. Continued West through even wetter Greenah Moss to copse by farm, easy stealth approach, top bag and back out farm track to road. Impressive crag.nordicstar10/01/2014
Approached from the North. Access land around Eycott Hill (a Birkett) extends to within 200m of Greenah Crag summit.mae27/11/2012
With Jo, out and back walk with Jo: Track between two Roman Camps onto Lofshaw Hill, then across fields to Naddles Beck, along wall for a climb into copse and a quick dash onto Greenah Crag. Weather; overcast, mild, moderate visibility.amblerbob08/04/2012
Just drove up to buildings not knowing what I would find - a holiday cottage -occupied but windows faced away so onto top and back without troubling anyone.Chris Pearson25/05/2007
