Walked up from the Sticklebarn National Trust car park. Beautiful day, with clear views of all of the Langdale Pikes and Bowfell. Did this as part of a route over Pike Howe, Harrison Stickle, Pavey Ark, Thunacar Knott, Pike of Stickle, Loft Crag and Thorn Crag.Cap_Thunderbolt20/10/2016
Last top of 13 today on the third leg of my improvised Bob Graham's round from Burtharlyp Howe youth hostel and climbing Burtharlyp Howe, Helm Crag, Gibson Knott, Calf Crag, Codale Head, Sergeant Man, High Raise, Thunacar Knott, Pavey Ark. Harrison Stickle, Pike of Stickle and Loft Crag. I was intending to climb Thorn Crag but wasn't sure where it was. I took footpath on flank of Harrison Stickle with awesome views of Dungeon Ghyll roaring through the ravine but realised where Thorn Crag wad once already commited but picked up the top of Pike Howe with the fantastic spectacle of Dungeon Ghyll Ghyllon one side and Stickle Gill absolutely foaming with a mass of water tumbling down the other. A great memory. I climbed the slippery tor and thrn made my way down to the New Dungeon Ghyll hotel where i had booked accommodation.Dazingdale08/06/2016
