The Bannisdale round from AW's recommended spot on a wide verge just after the Dry Howe Farm lane parts company with the Mosergh one. A very pleasant chat with the farmer in his field below Murthwaite Knott on returning from its summit, then Whiteside Pike, Todd Fell, Capplebarrow, Swinklebank Crag, Ancrow Brow, Ancrow Brow North Top, Long Crag, White Howe, The Forest, Lamb pasture and its South East Top.Nick Down130/06/2021

With Jacqui on a Synge bagging walk from old A6 nr Kendal Caravans. Nice countryside and very quiet (just how we like it!) - only met one farmer and no walkers. Low cloud and rain so no views, but three nice little obvious tops bagged.Hillsidenick08/09/2020

up track from Mosergh Farm towards Whiteside Pike. Just before open fell, over gate, contour to right, up to wall at high point, easy to climb over just before summit on grassy knoll surrounded by trees. Back to open hillside same way to avoid high wall. KeithByTheC29/05/2020

4th of 8 hills on a 10 mile linear walk with Carole Engel. From Halls Lane (SD 4735 9993, room for 1 car), to loop layby on A6 (NY 5475 0250). Chatted with friendly farmer at Murthwaite Farm. From Sleddale Forest, on to Whiteside Pike.jonglew30/11/2017
Didn't fancy the long return road walk from Longsleddale car park so drove up to roadside parking at the end of the Mosergh Road (alt 218m). From here a signposted bridleway leads down a lane then across some fields to a wall south of the summit. Fom here a cross field walk to the trees. Don't cross the first fallen wall as this will lead you through a dense clump of firs, wait until a gap in the wall just before the summit. Much easier!. 3.23km return, 40 minutes, 103m ascent.moorsman27/10/2017
With Anna during walk from Garnett Bridge. Handy gate near top saved some wall climbing!citygent28/03/2017

From Longsleddale church car park. Murthwaite Knott, Whiteside Pike, Todd Fell, Cappelbarrow, Swinklebank Crag, Ancrow Brow, nameless (Banisdale Horseshoe) Harrop Pike, Grey Crag, Tarn Crag and Great Howe (Longsleddale). Great conditions :-)AlunRees3116/04/2015
Round of Synges / W OFs bottom of Longsleddale - Ulgraves, Potter Fell x 2, Sleddale Forest, Murthwaite Knott - 10.3 miles, 2528ft ascent. To avoid the Longsleddale parking problem I left the car in the layby on the A6 at SD526,989 - only added a mile to the walk.Crib Goch21/03/2015
Had to park in passing place about 200m SE of farm. Bridleway runs past Murthwaite up to and through gate by wood below open fell. Over to R 40m is metal lid with 'Hawes Aqueduct' on it. In wall on L is most unusual stile into amazingly mogulled field. Ignored this, followed wall steeply up the hill then left to top. Summit on knoll just inside wood. Stile or use gate just before high point.Aye Jimmy10/03/2015
From road SW of top. Cairn just NW of highest point is great viewpoint of longsleddalebriandiggle27/12/2014
From the west. Top is over the wall in the trees but there is agate nearby.peebs03/07/2014
