w/ Jack, Jonny and Danny on a mega synge bagging expedition | wcroasdell | 13/08/2023 |
On a glorious day we dropped Ben in Wasdale for his solo ascent of Scafell Pike and Lingmell and then nipped around the back to Eskdale, parking in the free NT car park at Wha House for the path up to slight side with deviations to pick up Goat Crag Bull Howe and Cat crag. Wonderful walking country here even if you are just wandering around picking up Tumps and other minor summits. | ytfckent | 08/06/2023 |

2/5 Parked at Wha House Farm Car Park. Bull How then Cat Crag both from Slight Side Path, then across moss to Peelplace Noddle above Stony Tarn, past Eel Tarn to Great Barrow and via Gill Bank Farm over to Blea Tarn Hill and back via lovely old pony sledge track from Blea Tarn South corner to Beckfoot. Along railway and road back to car. Nice route with great views. | nickywood1 | 06/07/2020 |

A wet crossing from the path descending from Slightside. Good view down Eskdale.Followed sheep paths from High Scarth, which is a fantastic viewpoint for upper Eskdale and looking down the valley. Look out for an ancient cairn that marks a weakness in descending from the crags. | Karmakarl | 14/10/2015 |

From the small roadside parking area just east of the Brotherilkeld turnoff. Was aiming for Slight Side (as one of the few remaining unconquered 600m plus hills). As I had all day I took in many of the minor hills ..... including this one. Good job I did! | moorsman | 14/05/2012 |
