Repeat on descent from main ridge - before wading out into Levers Water to rock pinnacle during heatwave. Glorious mountain scenery all about mixed with intriguing mining scars. | Chris Pearson | 04/09/2023 |
Wandered up here in search of the geocache. Steep up from the YH by an indirect route. Nice little path to the top though. | Walker Dan | 27/03/2023 |
The classic Coniston Round, but including a few not previously climbed Birketts and Synges, and including a new ridge down off Wetherlam. Starting point at Fell Gate is now a Pay + Display car park (£8 for the day). 18 summits topped during the day, order of ascent: Walna Scar, White Pike, White Maiden, Brown Pike, Buck Pike, Dow Crag, Coniston Old Man, Brim Fell, Little How Crags, Great How, Grey Friar, Great Carrs, Swirl How, Wetherlam, Black Sails, Erin Crag, Kennel Crag, The Bell. 25.5km with 1500m ascent taking 9 hours. | silveracorn_alan | 21/09/2022 |

On Birthday walk, with Cousin Juliette exploring the copper mines valley. Nice view point but certainly not what I would define as a summit - just a shoulder. | nickywood1 | 03/09/2018 |

Hard descent of Wetherlam Edge, steep with loose rocks, would be easier in ascent. Return to Coniston via Crook Beck, Hole Rake & Coppermines Valley. | david230201 | 27/05/2018 |

From Coniston. Looks fair enough from below but its just a bump on the ridge.. tops like this make a mockery of real hills dont they?. I bet there are boulders and outcrops with as much prominence as this..visited on my way up to Black Sails. | stig_nest | 25/11/2016 |

En route from Coppermines valley to Levers Hause | Moorponder | 30/12/2014 |
Free parking available at the end of the public section of the road leading to the Coppermines youth hostel (altitude 223ft). From here a solid path leads past the youth hostel and up towards Levers Water. If you follow this as far as its summit (before the weir) a good track leads off on the right which finally reaches the summit. Cutting this off by going directly uphill is no quicker and far more energy sapping. | moorsman | 17/10/2014 |

With Andy + Claire. From Fell gate, Kennel Crag, Erin Crag, Wetherlam, Lad Stones | Crib Goch | 14/06/2014 |
With Jo, circular walk from Coniston: track to Levers Water, faint path over Kennel Crag and Erin Crag to Black Sails, then onto Wetherlam, returning over Lad Stones. Weather; high cloud, warm on KC and EC, cool breeze thereafter until later in day when sun appeared. Visibility good at first but view from Wetherlam was poor in direction of the Scafells and Langdales. | amblerbob | 31/05/2014 |
