The Harter Fell ridge from the Forestry Commission car park at SD 234 995 in the Duddon Valley, visiting Hard Knott, Hard Knott South Top, Peathill Crag, Peathill Crag South Top, Horsehow Crags, Demming Crag, the impressive summit of Harter Fell, Dow Crag, Great Whinscale, Crook Crag and Green Crag. Impressive views to the head of Eskdale, with the Scafells and Bowfell snow-capped in the sun but with dark clouds behind. 18.7km with 1280m ascent in 7 hours. (S)silveracorn_alan24/12/2020
4/5 From Birks Bridge, Harter Fell and then down the NW ridge to pick up Birketts and Synges: Demming Crag, Horsehow Crags, Peathill Crag South Top and Peathill Crag.
