With Castle Dow & Grandtully Hill N Top. Up from Forestry CP NW of Balnaguard on MTB tracks to join upper track. Up to CD from 9309/5140. W from there to join track. Up towards CE from fank to firebreak and soon got to some fallen trees but not too bad. From CE, NW 100m or so to join track(not on my 25 map). Up to GH N Top from 9164/4996 to firebreak. Back same way to rejoin track S of Lochan Eilid.duchally10/03/2023
From Castle Dow, rejoined track and continued to 927497 and ascending SE ridge to mossy cairn. Not a tree fight that I would care to repeat, it gets even worse near the summit.Topographer5716/04/2021
castle dow, creag eilid, grandtully hill north top, from the forestry cp.robertphillips20/12/2020
Disgusting! Up the track as towards castle dow then hauled up through dense trees to top. With Grandtully North top, 4hr round trip.Nicky C22/08/2020
Path west of Castle Dubh/Dow provides an entertaining approach route as per previous. Cairn and small hillock with crag to NW both measured same on my gps. Ride provides a good link through to Griffin Forest.daviemore25/07/2020
After Castle Dow. Boggy with brash further down, and summit area pretty densely covered with trees. Saw the mossy cairn, but a point about 18m further North seemed higher with my GPS reading 394m there.NormanW13/07/2020
Pretty good path west of Castle Dow to sheepfold, then steeply up firebreak to summit area. Trees not bad, with enough open runnels to make progress comfortable. Old mossy cairn appears to be on the highest point but hard to be certain.alda23/01/2016
