2nd/7 tumps in Loch Ard Forest from Aberfoyle. From aqueduct to the west.Topographer5706/02/2024
I used the mapped but decommissioned road to the south. The obvious way up to the aqueduct tower was wind thrown, but following the road I picked up an extraction lane which took me to runnable woodland, followed by a bit of a light struggle on to the ridge ride. Easily followed to summit. Feeling unwell, packed it in here and had an easy run back to the Old Drymen Road following Glasgow's water.fasgadh01/04/2023
Following Rob Roy Way from Clashmore a white ribbon marked route leads up to ridge where the going gets tougher. By keeping to the ridge and travelling SW the top is guaranteed. Neat cairn at NS485973 probably built by Loch Katrine Aqueduct navvies.lordtonult15/03/2022
From Aberfoyle, high point on forest track to east, @ 490973, a tracked vehicle scar up to 160m then a bit of a thrash. Reasonably civilised for these hills however.iangalbraith22/02/2021
Seventh hill of a bike assisted bagging trip from Drymen Road car park. From SW, where track goes twice under the pylons. Climb to the highest ground at the treeline, and push through the trees to find the end of the marked ride. Follow this, very wet NE along the ridge. Found the tower noted by RHW.Minto04/11/2020
bike round from aberfoyle, up from track to the west, then followed firebreak along crest of the hill and final 10m into the trees to find highest tree stump/tree base, the start of the fire break is not visible from the track but is near to where power lines cross the track and is marked with a small white ribbon on a very small tree/bush.robertphillips10/02/2019
Cycle round from Aberfoyle, followed crest from W.chalky195308/11/2017
Rob's correct, the direct route is a thrash. It was a relief to emerge in the summit break.Colin Crawford23/03/2016
After Maol Ruadh: drove in as per Lime Hill log. Parked on forest road SSW of summit. probably best to walk NW then pick up overgrown ride following crest - direct route isn't pretty... Neatly built mini-tower at NS 48502 97289RHW19/10/2014
