| From the road south of Thornhill Lodge, by the junction with the Trowan track. A good, but overgrown, path, with fallen trees and encroaching rhododendron leads to the huge obelisk to Sir David Baird, commander in Indian, Napoleonic and Cape of Good Hope campaigns.
