With Martin66 on a gentle stroll from Aberfoyle. From track to SE followed the clear gap between the trees & the fenced enclosure as it wound its way upwards. This ran out not far from the top leaving an unpleasant thrash. On regaining the cleared bit, my brother proposed a shortcut NW to reach the track on the other side of the tump. One look dispelled that notion...NotReallyABagger03/12/2023
Hill 4 of an anti-clockwise round of 7 Tumps from Aberfoyle car park. Thought about using a bike, but decided it would be more of a hinderance. Came up from the track to NW. Easy at first then hellish gorse and brambles. Summit right by the fence, which is a good clue.Minto24/03/2022
From top of track to south and up clear felled path beside fence. Unfortunately this runs out tantalizingly close to top leaving final bash through whin and gorse.lordtonult15/03/2022
From Crinigart, more or less as Nick describes.iangalbraith16/03/2021
After Borland Hill. Summit area has been clear felled and replanted. Follow new deer fence round it`s NE side. Summit just inside fence at old dyke. Then to Drum of Gartloaning.bjewing31/01/2021
From parking area SW of Crinagart along forest tracks to the ed of the mast road N of Blarnaboard, turning onto the path by the fence at its highest point and following this as the fence turns SW to reach the summit where two large trees lie felled. The summit is a colourful place with the broom and gorse in flower.Nick Down116/05/2020
From Drum of Gartloaning via Gartloaning. Forest has been cleared on NW side of track as you ascend. Broom has been hacked down beside a deer fence which leads to summit. Descended NE via phone mast back to car near Crinigart.sclater29/01/2020
biked in to the track south of the top, then over deer gate and fence again, from parking up forestry road near crinigart.robertphillips30/10/2018
I went up from NS509981. Much of the tree cover is now gone. A gate gives access to a fenced, felled area, with a rough track along the fence line. Annoyingly, the fence needs to be climbed higher up. Summit very obviousColin Crawford23/03/2016
