Had been up to the 'summit' before but to the mast, prior to tump bagging. Easy walk from the summit path to reach the true summit, then continued on the very pleasant Cow Hill circuit path.nicolajane23/12/2020

Walked from Glen Nevis Youth Hostel along the road and up the little minor road and track, to join the West Highland Way for a short distance, then up the forest track. Mistakenly went right on the Cow Hill Circuit, then over rough ground to rejoin the track to the mast. Returned south on the track, then detoured to the true summit. Followed the track to link with our upward route. Pleasant New Year's Day walk.LizH01/01/2020
Steady ascent with crutches from car parked at start of track to WSW. Got to high point without much difficulty, but found the short SW walk back to the top very rough.GordonAdshead30/12/2019

After Druim na h-Earba. From edge of built-up area along maintenance road for transmission mast (long, but easily graded) to gate near top, then south-westwards on faint (and muddy) path to small cairn at summit. Rain started on top, discouraging any visit to mast. Back down road to new junction about 102724, then on paths following yellow waymarkers and finger posts towards “Town Centre”, “Braveheart car park”, and “Henderson Row” in turn, then down sundry back streets to bus station, and back to Oban.mainnirnamfiadh05/08/2017
Visitor Centre CP. Path/track then left at cow gate to top of Cow Hill. Back down to WHW and headed S then path up to An Dun.chrisbien21/05/2017

Nice after tea stroll. Pity about the light drizzle!Alan Caine28/07/2015
Tiddler to test out a recovering hamstring, affords excellent views down glen Nevis to Big Ben and the Mamores! Summit is not where the main path takes you but is 100m to the left of the gate with the cow sign on it. A quartzite cairn marks the spot.Columba29/09/2013
Did lots of geocaches around here and reached summit mast via track that crosses the ring contour that is higher than where the supposed 'top' is marked on the map!signyred17/02/2012

Cow Hill race from Fort William.Eddie30/07/1984
I've been to the mast several times when staying in Fort William as it is such a good lookout point. Once was on 04/03/2007. I remember at least once leaving the main track and going to the highest point but I can't remember when.Alan Mooreblank
