Why nip up a hill when you can have a whole day out. Keithbank carpark on A93, Cateran Trail to Knocky Wood. Good path up wood and quick nip across field to summit. Off NW to Cateran Trail. No fences. Continued on CT to Croft of Blackcraig then sharp L to head SE on core path up to Trig. Boggy in from N, but walked out SE to join track on N side of Loch and avoided bog. Out through deciduous woodland to N of Muirton of Drumlochy, past Glasclune Castle, no fences, lots of gates, and back via Lornty Bridge. 27km in beautiful countryside.Lynnebe28/02/2024

From east on Cateran trail then on nice path as per Duchally.Adrian11/06/2022
Long walk - starting and finishing from Kirkmichael - using the various paths, tracks and roads of the Cateran Trail. Summit area still has no sewn crops, although there was a tractor working in the neighbouring field.Rod M11/11/2021
Good circular walk on signed trails from Blairgowrie town center. Easy stubble in summit field.Tony S23/10/2021
Parked at 169461 and took lovely little path through the wood, then round the field edges. I reckon the high point is 40m into the ploughed field, luckily nothing sown yet.NormanW07/03/2021

Called in while biking along the Cateran Trail. A small hill was required, again for respiratory complaint reasons. Weather exceptional. At last an accessible arable summit - this year I have missed quite a few, not catching that short time between combine and plough. Field appears not to have been used this year.fasgadh02/10/2016
Handy parking space at end of track, same route as Lindsay M, easy stroll in light snow, good one for winter.alda14/01/2016
Recovering from bout of bronchitis so this Blairgowrie tiddler was all I could manage. Nice easy walk in from E via Cateran Trail track. Stubble field on top - farmer arrived to start removing bales as I was leaving lower west bump.Lindsay M22/02/2015
