An Socach, Mullach nan Dheiragain and Sgùrr nan Ceathreamhnan solo from Glen Affric in a day. Was originally planning to do these as a 2-day trip with a stay at Altbeithe, but due to the Covid closure, I decided to try it as a single day outing. Biked in from Glen Affric ~4am in pitch black. Track was rideable for the first 4.5 miles but after Athnamulloch, it was mostly unrideable with large boulder-covered sections of track, and frequent flooded sections. Arrived at Althbeithe ~6:30am and locked the bike. Walked the munros anti-clockwise - starting with An Sochach, ending with Sgùrr nan Ceathreamhnan before descending back down to Altbeithe and then the long bike ride back out. Accessed from the Glen Affric Youth Hostel, hiked in from Glen Affric Car Park with on Friday 6th September with Alex McBride. On Saturday 7th September, Alex and I bagged the three Munros to the north of the Hostel, Mullach na Dheiragain (982m), Sgurr nan Ceathramhnan (1151m) and An Socach (921m). It was sunny all day with only a few clouds visible. The views were great, particular of Ben Nevis to the south, Torridon to the north, the Cullin Ridge and Skye Bridge to the west. 11:10 hours all in.chillyman807/09/2019

Climbed solo. Ascended stalkers path from Glen Affric YHA to Bealach Coire na Cloiche. Took YHA wardens advice by ascending a little up ridge to west to a cairn before descending a steep grassy rake and traversing steep ground into boggy Coire nan Dearcag. Easy ascent to Bealach nan Daoine on NW side. Turned right onto ridge crossing the fine Munro Top of Carn na Con Dhu, with many interesting rocky knolls. After a short steep descent north to the bealach, an easy grassy ascent to the very remote munro of Mullach na Dheiragain (aka Jerry-can!). Returned to YHA by same route - would be hard navigation in mist! Weather dry, bit windy, starting bright with high cloud, but greying over in afternoon threatening rain. Views superb though, especially of nearby giant munro of Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan. A truly wild primeval landscape.jamessteel10023/08/2016

Solo from the outdoor centre near Morvich on a sunny & hot day. Over Bealach an Sgairne, rounded end of Loch a'Bhealaich & then stupidly traversed under summit of Sgurr Gaorsaic which meant another trip some years later. Up S spur to Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan W top & then the main summit. Then the out & back to Mullach na Dheiragain which did provide some fine views. Turned E along the ridge as far as An Socach. Then dropped down to the youth hostel & the very pleasant walk back out to Morvich.NotReallyABagger30/08/2001
