Farmer suggested I park by sheepfold (NO 7481 8405) - roughish track for my A1. Right on track, then left up pasture. Above field, ground recently planted with conifers - hard going, plus a new deer fence to climb. N.B Trig only visitedcarole engel07/08/2021

A beautiful frozen day of -1 degree temps for 20km run with L in 3 and half hrs from house. 440m ascent total. 10km each way on forest tracks and semi frozen paths. My demon hill having torn a calf muscle trying this run two months ago. More steady pace today. Sigh of relief to accomplish it and back. Great when in the sunshine -but boggy path melting. Chilly when in trees -but boggy path frozen. Still thrilled to have seen from the house the flash of a meteor burn up in the sky over this hill before dawn yesterday -part of the Leonid Meteor Shower.Chris Pearson18/11/2019
