Take a raincoat and zip it up with the hood up, to stand any chance of getting to the top. GPS will also help a great deal.Mudskipper16/09/2023
Weather fair, Ive had more enjoyable summits, good luck battling through the trees.MountainMac10/10/2022

A two Tump cycle from Tillyoch E.C. Climbed after Mundernal, cycle west to east on forest road to N of hill, then higher up east to west, to reach the col only 300m east of the summit. Took 30 mins each way through dense trees. Crawling only required in a few places. I scrape the moss of what I reckoned was the highest stump after visiting a few others.Minto06/06/2021
Good parking WSW for Mundernal, walked forest road until due N then took mapped ride, which runs out in 30m! Beeline to summit, dense and slow, never quite a crawl. HP seems to be old tree stump 10m W of spot height. Descended NE as per Chris P (seems least worst route unless via clear fall from NW is better), forest roads back to start with Mundernal en routeRHW08/05/2021
Strathgyle is an anagram for something much ruder. More people have stood on the summit of Everest than ever will on this summit for which your hobbies must list crawling through pine forests. Expect scratches to the face and hands and being poked in the eye as the norm. Leave some energy for the return crawl. I left L waiting..and waiting.. with my sack on the track to the east.Chris Pearson05/01/2020
Direct from track to WSW, dense young conifer plantation below top with some sections of crawling on hands and knees necessary to make progress.Dave McG20/08/2019
