From Hill of Alyth, straight forward with 1BWF to cross. Rough cow pasture. High point un-marked. Descent E to road OK but roughish going over tussocks, broom and gorse.RichardM16/09/2022
From Hill of Aylyth. Easy walk. Returned to car at Newton of Bamff by fields.Adrian08/06/2022
Parked in Alyth and started on part of the Cateran Trail, then through a gate and across the corner of the wood and up to the summit area. Thought a point near the western end looked highest, but the area at the trees further east could be as high. Carried on to Hill of Alyth.LizH30/11/2019
up from hp of minor road.robertphillips06/09/2019
First snowfall of the winter so a crisp and deep and even round of the Hill's of Alyth & Loyal, then Barry Hill for good measure, from Alylth town centre.summitter16/12/2018
From road pass, up and over a stile about 50m south of the cairn. It was clear enough to me that the summit is at the west end of the plateau but there are countless competing heath tussocks.Topographer5711/01/2018
Handy parking space just north of road col. Tolerable ascent, the high point rather indefinite. Interestingly, the pointless cairn is very prominent when viewed from Barry HillColin Crawford03/11/2017

From B954 up and over barbed wire fence to summit ignoring old pointless cairn.NormanW12/07/2017
With Ben after Hill of Alyth. Had to make detour over rough ground on way down to avoid a herd of cows and calves that didn't look very friendly.hillsman12/07/2017

Visiting mother in Alyth. Sheet ice on track from Lands of Loyal. A distant relative on my father's side lived by this track 19th century.bertbarnett12302/02/2005
