After Bracken Noits, headed back to take in Hart Hill. New forestry roads made the approach interesting. From the crossroads to the NW of Camsheil Craig, a new track boldly heads west before coming to an abrupt stop in front of a tall belt of trees. Some exquisite map interpretation landed us on the track marked on the 1:25000 map, which still exists, albeit now enclosed by tall trees. This led to the open summit of Hart Hill, the summit being of the usual indistinct variety. The continuation of the track led us downhill, back towards Gedloch. However, the exit to the forest was barred by lots of windfall trees, which required some negotiation. These were safely crossed and the final bit back to the car completed. From NE, NJ 2433 5463, limited parking. Walked forest road then best route is to head directly uphill after c.1km, thru nice open forest, minor deadfall, find good track starting at NJ 23657 54096, leading to summit area - nice route. HP at N corner of small clearing I thought, 50m from current GR10, all rather level, I bushwhacked between the two. In ascent I used the firebreak obvious on aerial view, gorsy for a while, going via NJ 24046 54498 helps.RHW28/09/2023
Walked along quarry road then uphill past Gedloch. Icy for a start then fresh snow further up.187lenny11/12/2022
As per RichardM. First 100-150metres of forest edge harder to traverse because of fallen trees from Storm Arwen a few weeks ago.willyross14/12/2021
used route described below. Reseeded firs getting thicker at top of the ascent break.sarahk05/03/2021

Followed RichardM's route, slightly blocked by windfall in places but overall good route and pleasant walking. Thrashed around to check in the spruce for a higher point but came to same conclusion as RichardM.Dave McG07/02/2018
Parking in off-road layby on A941 S of Fogwatt, take wide dissused quarry road W then first track on left towards house. Just before house take gated track on right to low earth mound blocking vehicle access. At the mound turn left (S) to reach gate in forest fence. Gate accesses track and firebreak all the way to the summit. Summit area largely free of trees but no views. High point on edge of forest, crawled into the trees but couldn't find anything obviously higher.RichardM06/03/2017
