Ascent from layby west of track end on Loch Cluanie with Tony and Zoe Gordon. Good path on grass to ridge then snowy and snowing with poor visibility but there was probably a path underneath. Definitely snowier than expected! Slithered on to Stob Coire na Cralaig but descended north west on zigzags from col to north of Cralaig due to weather rather than continuing to Mullach Fraoch choire as planned. After c100m of descent headed NW over springy snow covered grass to path. Continuous rain once we dropped below snow line. Path very muddy above mapped (1:50) track along An Caorann Mor.Denise 27/04/2023

Followed the clearly marked path on the 1:25000 map, though barely a faint path in places on the ground, from the layby on A87 500m west of Alt Choire a' Chait. Any sign of a path disappears at about 550m until joining the alternative steeper ascent to the NW, from the end of An Caorann Mór close to the A87. I think I preferred my approach from the SE as it is not such a step rate of ascent at the beginning of the route. From here it is a straight forward ascent following the established path to the summit. Option to divert to the Munro Top at 1051m spot height. Impressive, large and well built cairn at the summit. Descent over the Munro Top Stob Coire na Craileig and out to the 2nd Munro & Marilynof the day - Mullach Fraoch-choire.mntainman29/08/2021

Solo fr P nr NH088121, partly-running; ascended very steeply fr 078151, N along ridge to Mullach, then backtracked and continued S to here. Sheet of high thin cloud slowly breaking and sun starting to come out, some excellent panoramic views but light a bit flat still. Very steep and EXTREMELY wet descent back to road!NorfolkPT2124/07/2020

Climbed solo. Started from A87 Loch Cluanie at start of path to Glen Affric. Left path straight away heading up steep slopes by a stream to gain S ridge of A' Chraileag at 750m (actually a small path all the way). Continue to A' Chraileag (fine cairn), Stob Coire na Chraileag, Mullach Fraoch-choire. Pinnacles on Na Geurdain ridge look scary from a distance but are easily avoided on skirting paths (first east, then west of pinnacles). Returned to col at 949m. Took zig-zag path into Coire Odhar. Path soon disappears. Traverse slopes to reach the Glen Affric path (lots of fresh water springs on way!). Return on path to A87 (feels long!). Fine sunny day, and dry underfoot. Gales were forecast but didn't come. A lovely ridge walk, comparable with others nearby.jamessteel10026/07/2018
From A87 at end of An Caorann Mor, track directly up A' Chraileag to SE end of ridge, along ridge to summit and on to Stob Coire na Craileig and Mullach Fraoch-choire, descending by track from corrie rim into Coire Odhar, then back along tracks in An Caorann Morkdbennett19/06/2018

Solo from close to Cluanie Inn Up the south ridge - faint path not visible under deepening snow - very powdery and deep in places by 600m - very hard to attain the ridge - then very deep drifts in places to the summit - very slow going 4+hrs to this point - intended to try the ridge to Mullach Fraoch-choire but backed off due to time and poor powder snow conditionswychwood06/01/2018
steep path at start on a87 at 750m the steepness eases and it follows the ridge line to the summit cairnAristotle Chip18/10/2017

With Penda. From car park E of Cluanie Inn. Hot in wind shadow, very cold in direct wind. Then on to Mullach Fraoch-Choire. Long, weary boggy walk back down valley leading to Glen Affric, lots of deer about (counted 56 but there were more). 11.5 miles, 7.5 hours.beorwulf05/05/2017

A'Chralaig, Stob Coire na Cralaig and Mullach Fraoch-choire from A87 layby.rhalstead03/07/2013
RBS HWC weekend at Kintail; started walking about 9 am; low cloud and rain at start, but cleared once I got back from the excursion out to A'Choich and onto main ridge; at the time my decision to contour from low in the ridge towards the spur leading to A'Chioch seemed like a mistake; I doubted the GPS answer, but it was correct; old fashioned compass work to get back on track; A'Chioch is a long way out on its spur; the climb back onto the main ridge was steep and a bit alarming; I spotted a more sensible route between the main ridge and this Top whilst descending the ridge; after some hesitation I did go and visit the A'Chralaig Munro as well; back at car by 15:50langskill25/08/2012
