Up the mine zigzags from Tyndrum lower station. Back the same way, as long wet grass in a fire break didn't sound preferable!davidpettit8414/10/2022
From Dalrigh. Track to about 600m east of Cononish, gate on a track through the deer fence, the track peters out but leads to an obvious break in the forestry at 303291, then a straightforward pathless plod.Owen B20/09/2022

From Tyndrum Lower station, zizag up lead mines path to Sron nan Colan, Drochaid an Droma, Meall Odhar, down through trees and across rickety deer fence to bealach, NW up broad gully then E to ridge and S to Beinn Chuirn. Descended ESE to track keeping S of Eas Anie and the crags, past the gold mine and back to the station.TRG31827/04/2022
Solo with Lily and Rosie. There and back from Dalrigh. Picked a firebreak with lots of fallen trees, but once past them easy ascent and descent. Cool, blustery overcast day with low cloud on adjacent munros.alexmaclennan03/04/2022
From Dalreigh, along mine road to gate on right into first field. Entered forest at ride which soon became an obstacle course of windblown trees. Emerged eventually into wide ride just below last few hundred feet to summit. Made better go of descent by broadly following the Allt nan Sae burn.MichaelF29/03/2022

From Tyndrum via the old lead mines on a wild, wintry day. Descent through the plantation near Cononish was better than it could have been - didn’t see the break in the trees from above! Back to Tyndrum via track to lower stationRockdoctor06/02/2022

Naughty parking at the station, seems OK on a Sunday. Interesting walk up through the lead mine, a bit steeper than girlie Derbyshire and Yorkshire lead mines. The zig-zag track is very fine, once past the steep washed out section below the big spoil heap. Up to some ruined buildings, then the path continues to the lochan, which has been dammed, presumably for hushing. Up over Sron nan Colan into a fierce and very cold wind, but I found the only sheltered place to bask in the sun below Drochaid an Droma (much more useful than climbing what seems to a be a daft little bump). An interesting wall at the outflow of the lochan at the bealach, perhaps an old dam, and an easy path towards the rocky NE ridge. Too cold to hang around at the top. Back the same way, I hate firebreaks.Gill21/11/2021
buggerlugs21/11/2021
Solo trip, following the standard clockwise route. Areas of rough pasture very wet underfoot, firebreak rough going at this time of year with long wet grass and many holes between boulders. Old fence provides a good line on the Sron nan Colan ridge (but beware loose lengths of wire).Invicta1422/10/2021

This hill was really enjoyable as we did the walk via the lead mines and Sron nan Colan(qv). The slopes up by the Perths./Argylls. boundary after Drochaid an Droma had all the dips filled with hard snow. We descended the slope to Cononish for descent. As we started down a ESE ridge, we were able to contour above the forest and find what the SMC describe as an obvious break in the forest. It was obvious- a relief. In ascent, this would have been tedious. Fabulous sunny afternoon with alpine-like snowy conditions on the Munros above us. With brother, Pete.pwheeler22/03/2020

With Dave Roeder. From startion car park (12:40) took path steeply up through mine workings to ridge and along it to top of Meall Odhar (13:40). Descent following fence line through woodland to col, then up a long steep slope to Beinn Chuirn (15:30). Down SW then SSE to track and thence back to station (17:50). Weather dry, good views of Ben Lui etc.dbb05/05/2019

After Drochaid an Droma. Up along line of prominent ridge, with occasional footpath, then short grass to summit. Sunny periods, windier. Beinn Laoigh now almost clear. View extensive but hazy, including Beinn Dòrain, Mamlorn Forest, and Crianlarich hills, with hints of Ben Cruachan and Black Mount. Back past Drochaid an Droma, then along north face of Sròn nan Colan on gradually descending sunken path (perhaps a one-time leat conveying water for use in lead extraction?) to reach glen level near foot of miners’ track. To Tyndrum Lower railway station to await train for Oban.mainnirnamfiadh25/07/2018

Straightforward climb from the NE on a very hot day on super dry ground.summitter29/06/2018
Took a similar route to Robert, but without the two Beinn Churn tops. The cairn on Sron currently spots a small Saltire. Drochaid an Droma's high point is either the northern or southern rocky top; the flat rock in between is lower. The descent from Meall Odhar to the Cononish track is seriously hard going over unremitting tussocks.Nick Down124/06/2018

Solo. From Tyndrum. After ascending Sron nan Colan and Drochaid an Droma went on up easy slopes to Meall Odhar. Rock outcrop close to cairn looks to be highest point, but who knows what is under the cairn. Descent SE was rather rough. Through obvious gap in trees. There is a high deer fence not far above the track to Cononish but there is a gate at NN306286 - does open. Back on tracks to Tyndrum.pwbellarby16/09/2016

Solo followed track to old lead mines and turned left up the scree at the Keep Out sign. Stayed more to the right of the scree as there was less of it. There is an old fence line up the left side but this looked steeper and on scree. It is a very steep pull up but reached the Sron top. From there the route was very obvious to Meall Odhar. The trees are on the left and the route round them is clearly visible. I followed a definite line of white boulders although the summit is more right of this Descended to the right side of the trees and a firebreak came into view as I got a bit lower down. This was very rough walking with long grass and hidden holes and boggy. The sting in the tale is there is a deer fence before you reach the Cononish track. I just climbed this. You could follow it left and come out at the South Glen Lochy track which leads back to Tyndrum. Not the scorcher we were promised. Overcast but dry and a bit of wind and sunny spellsmunromurph15/08/2014
